Rollo builds a very low number of instruments per year (usually 2-4 at most) and only built one for all of 2007. If you were looking for the best of the best in high-end ukes, look no further! Premium master grade Hawaiian curly Koa face, back and sides with full curly classic maple binding on face and back and bound fretboard. Bone nut and saddle. Ebony fretboard and bridge with ebony bridge pins and paua shell inlay. Abalone position markers have been inlaid on the bound fretboard for a top down perspective. One position marker was inlaid on the 9th fret but has since been corrected and is hardly noticeable.
Beautiful paua shell rosette and inlay on soundboard with black-white-black pin-striping to accent the piece. Classic style book-matched spalted headstock with curly Koa veneer cap and maple wood accent on back of headstock. Matching black-white pin-striping on face of headstock as well. Jescar EVO Gold fretwire and fine-tune Gotoh machine tuners for precise tuning and classic appeal. Nitrocellulose high-gloss finish. Incredible tone with perfect intonation. Tremendous sustain with warm, rich and complex tones. Ameritage hard case included.
