Lutz is found on the eastern slopes of the British Columbia’s coastal mountains and has the size, strength and stiffness of sitka spruce with the texture and luster of Englemann spruce. It is a tremendous tonewood and is characterized with a solid warm note core with wonderful and balanced clarity. Cocobolo is a wood which belongs to the family of rosewoods available on the market. It too is a tremendous tonewood and has a nice rich, deep and complex tone that attributes great depth to the instrument. Classic master grade curly koa binding on face and back with matching bound fretboard and bound headstock. Radiused bone nut and saddle. Radiused cocobolo fretboard and bridge with koa bridge pins and paua shell inlay. Paua shell position markers have been inlaid on the bound fretboard for a top down perspective.
