Handcrafted in the classic shape with a round-bodied lower bout, this stunningly beautiful custom Pegasus tenor ukulele was handcrafted from 3A Hawaiian Koa wood on the face with an alternate set of Hawaiian Koa wood on the back and sides. This eco-friendly model seeks to provide players with a great sounding and playing ukulele at a reduced cost by mix-matching Koa wood sets and being more environmentally friendly. Matching Hawaiian curly Koa wood headstock veneer, this ukulele also incorporates a Hawaiian Milo wood fretboard and bridge in keeping with an all Hawaii-wood body. The neck has been carved from Spanish cedar and reinforced with a carbon fiber truss rod for added structural integrity, reduced weight, and increased sustain, transferring the energy as it moves through the strings and the neck in to the sound box of the instrument with greater stiffness and quicker resolve. Slotted headstock design. The fretboard has been slightly radiused at 16″ for ease of play on the wrist angle in higher positions on the neck. Classic abalone shell position markers on 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, and 17 for quick and easy reference. The heel cap and bridge also have a hand-cut piece of abalone shell as a signature mark of Pegasus Ukuleles. All the shell inlay is a solid shell. No laminates were used. Side sound port for a monitor-like effect by which the sound projects both upwards towards the player as well as outward towards the audience. Professional Grover geared tuners for smooth and precise tuning. The finish does not show play wear or scratches easily and is a combination of shellac and lacquer that produces a smooth satin surface, allowing for a less sticky surface as you cradle the instrument and your hands glide up and down the fretboard.

Good volume, sustain, and a classic Hawaiian Koa punchiness with a wonderful mid-range as well.
