A beautiful new Custom Pahu Kani Tenor Ukulele handcrafted on the Waianae coastline by one of Oahu’s finest luthiers in custom ukuleles, Manny Halican. This custom ukulele was just completed for the 2019 Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Exhibition and incorporates a wonderful example of a fully unique and contemporary design with great playability and a full range of tones.

Ukulele Guild of Hawaii (UGH) luthier – Manny Halican. This special tenor ukulele was one of the featured pieces on display at the Bishop Museum – Ukulele Exhibition 2019. It was handcrafted with meticulous care and an homage to the significance of the culture, people, and spirit of Hawaii.  Master grade Hawaiian Koa wood back and sides with a Hawaiian flag soundboard of Maple wood and Purple heart.  Gabon Ebony wood top and back binding, fretboard, and bridge with a Purple heart inlaid bridge in keeping with the theme of this gorgeous instrument. Red and Green top purfling with a red fretboard and back and side matching wood purfling/pin-striping. The Hawaiian Flag is made of various shades of Maple wood and Purple heart wood reinforced on the underside by a thin layer of spruce wood. Hawaiian Islands porting on the face of the soundboard with a side sound port for a monitor-like experience as well. Maple wood neck with a Purple heart wood stringer for added strength. ‘PK’ logo inlay on the headstock. 19 inch scale with professional open-geared Rubner tuners.
