Manny incorporates a wonderful example of a fully unique and contemporary design with great playability and a fantastic tone.
This unique custom Pahu Kani “6-String” longneck tenor ukulele was handcrafted with meticulous care and exemplifies the beautiful pairing of a a stained curly Hawaiian Koa wood on the back and sides with a gorgeous European moon spruce soundboard. The instrument boasts two side sound ports, one on each side, and one on the back of the instrument – giving the instrument a wrap-around sound and attesting to the skills and creativity of Manny’s unique and functional design. Master grade curly maple wood neck, contrasting the colors of the stained curly Hawaiian Koa wood body. Ebony wood fretboard and bridge. Dual exaggerated side sound ports on both sides of the upper bout of the instrument, allowing for maximum excitement on the sound board with no traditional top porting. This enables the player to receive the full benefit of hearing all that this instrument offers tonally with the sound firing entirely upwards towards the player for a monitor-like experience. Corian top and back binding with a matching Corian top and back headstock veneer. Elegant turquoise purfling line throughout the instrument. Slotted headstock with professional geared tuners. ‘PK’ logo inlay on the headstock and an extended 19 inch scale from the zero fret to the saddle of the instrument. Mirror-like high gloss finish.
