A beautiful Custom Pahu Kani ‘Double Top’ Longscale Soprano Ukulele handcrafted on the Waianae coastline by one of Oahu’s finest luthiers in custom ukuleles, Manny Halican. This custom ukulele was just completed by Ukulele Guild of Hawaii luthier, Manny, and incorporates a wonderful example of a fully unique and contemporary design with great playability and a full range of tones.

This special longscale soprano ukulele was handcrafted with meticulous care and exemplifies the beautiful pairing of European Moon Spruce on the external and internal soundboard – “Double Top” with a gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood back and sides. Corian top and back binding with green purflng all throughout. Macassar Ebony wood bridge and a Bocote wood fingerbboard and matching Bocote fingerboard binding. Back sound port of the instrument allows for maximum excitement on the double soundboard with no traditional top porting. This enables the player to receive the full benefit of hearing all that this instrument offers tonally with the sound firing towards the player for a monitor-like experience. Two-piece stained laminated tiger Maple wood neck for added strength. Corian headstock veneer with professional Gotoh geared tuners for smooth and precise tuning. ‘PK’ logo inlay on the headstock and an extended 15-inch scale from the zero fret to the saddle of the instrument. Mirror-like high gloss finish.

An extremely rare and beautiful ukulele with the classic sound of Hawaii at your doorstep.  The double top allows the inner soundboard to vibrate with no dampening of the sound when cradling against the player’s body. Slightly deeper body construction than a standard soprano ukulele to account for the double top construction. This instrument has some lovely tones and lots of wonderful sustain, otherwise not commonly associated with the smaller soprano sized instruments.
