Custom Pahu Kani Ukulele. A beautiful new Custom Pahu Kani Concert Ukulele handcrafted on the Waianae coastline by one of Oahu’s finest luthiers in custom ukuleles, Manny Halican. This custom ukulele was just completed and incorporates a wonderful example of a fully unique and contemporary design with great playability, aesthetic appeal, and a full range of tones.
Handcrafted with a master grade Sitka Spruce soundboard and coveted three-piece Brazilian Rosewood back with matching Brazilian Rosewood sides this beautiful Pahu Kani Ukulele is both stunningly beautiful and stunningly rare! Elegant b-w-b accent purfling lines on face, back, sides, fingerboard, and end graph at the butt of the instrument. The instrument also boasts a b-w-b purfling line center strip down the face of the soundboard for aesthetic appeal, a Honduran mahogany neck, gorgeous abalone shell with Koa wood rosette and multilayer concentric circle rosette, side neck position markers for a quick top-down reference and so much more. Hawaiian leaf inlay of Ebony wood dust and mother-of-pearl shell on the soundboard toward the butt of the instrument, paying tribute to the beautiful flora of Hawai’i. Macassar Ebony wood fretboard with East-Indian Rosewood bridge, exotic curly Sapele wood top and back binding and matching dual back stringers. Micarta nut and saddle. Gotoh Silver professional tuners with amber knobs for precise tuning, and re-entrant Aquila Nylgut string set up. Absolutely stunning poreless satin style finish that reveals the natural characteristics and hues of each piece of wood.
A full range of tones with a vibrant mid-range that extends in to some warmer tones and a nice infusion of bright notes from the Sitka spruce soundboard. Great tones, projection, and sustain by a custom uke out of Oahu, HI. The low tones are nice and long with crisp and balanced highs as well.
