Custom Moore Bettah Tenor Ukulele – Hawaiian Milo

Preowned. 2015. Custom Moore Bettah Tenor Ukulele. Beautiful Custom Moore Bettah tenor ukulele handcrafted by master luthier Chuck Moore of the Big Island, HI. Chuck handcrafts some of not only the most aesthetically pleasing ukuleles available on the market but also professional recording level instruments for both the professional musician and recreational player.

This wonderful and extremely rare Moore Bettah tenor ukulele was crafted from the finest materials and went virtually unplayed – gorgeous Hawaiian Milo wood back and sides with a master grade Sitka spruce soundboard. Gabon Ebony wood fretboard and bridge with a curly Hawaiian Koa wood top and back binding, bound fingerboard, and bound headstock. Subtle b-w-b accent lines on the soundboard, back, sides, fingerboard, side of the neck, and on the headstock. The neck is hand-carved from Spanish cedar wood and is carbon fiber reinforced for added stability. Gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood inlay on the rosette, and three-piece headstock veneer of curly Hawaiian Koa wood and Ebony with a Hawaiian Koa wood ‘Palm Tree’ inlay. Classic headstock design in keeping with the simple but elegant feel of this rare custom Moore Bettah tenor ukulele. A classic appeal with a musicians grade glossy nitrocellulose lacquer finish has been applied to the ukulele. A few minor dings and surface scratches.

The instrument boasts a side sound port for a ‘monitor-like’ effect in higher positions on the neck. A world-class instrument with a rich and complex tonal range, excellent sustain, clarity, and projection. The instrument is very well balanced tonally all the way up the neck and spot on intonation as well. Highly recommended player piece. And this is as good as it gets for recording artists, weekend giggers, and the uke-lover at heart! #230046
