This gorgeous custom Moore Bettah tenor ukulele is handcrafted of the legendary Quilted Mahogany wood known as “The Tree” – a 500-year old tree that once towered 100 feet above the Chiquibul Jungle of what is now Belize. With a massive base of ten feet in diameter, this wood has been considered some of the most beautiful and sought after wood by luthiers worldwide with instrument sets selling between $5,000 – $10,000 and limited numbers of sets available from this special tree each year. The Tree Quilted Mahogany has been defined as a “once in a lifetime wood”, possessing visual characteristics unparalleled in its beauty and tone and often being favorably compared to coveted woods such as Brazilian Rosewood.

The gorgeous reddish hues of the  colored “The Tree” Quilted Mahogany is absolutely stunning and adds to the overall elegant ambiance of this masterpiece. Revered Quilted “The Tree” Mahogany wood back and sides with a musician’s grade Bear Claw Sitka spruce soundboard. Figured Honduran mahogany wood neck with graphite rod for added stability and increased sustain of the ukulele. Gabon Ebony wood fingerboard and bridge and a matching Ebony wood top headstock plate in keeping with the theme of the instrument. Curly Hawaiian Koa wood top and back binding, bound fretboard, and bound headstock. Bone nut and saddle.  Beautiful mother-of-pearl woman and moon fingerboard inlay with side-of-neck position markers for quick and easy reference when playing. Slotted headstock design with mother-of-pearl logo inlay. Elegant black-white-black pin-striped purfling on top, back, and sides. Bound Hawaiian Koa wood side sound port for monitor-like effect by which the sound fires upward toward the player as well as outward toward the audience. Professional Rodgers open-geared slotted headstock machine tuners for precise tuning and classic appeal.  Nitrocellulose high-gloss finish.
