This wonderful and extremely rare Moore Bettah tenor ukulele was handcrafted from the finest materials and is certainly one of the more intricate inlay designs that he has completed to date. Gorgeous master grade premium Hawaiian curly Koa wood top, back, and sides, Ebony wood fretboard, bridge, and matching Ebony wood top and back binding. Sikta spruce 3-fan top bracing on the underside of the soundboard and a Honduran mahogany wood bracing on the back of the ukulele. Upper bout sound hole port with side sound port for a monitor like experience, allowing the player to embrace the sweet sound of each note with wonderful clarity. Solid carbon fiber reinforced Spanish cedar wood neck for a light weight feel and a slightly brighter sound. Gorgeous abalone shell inlay on top and back with matching abalone rosette inlay with a stunningly beautiful Polynesian themed inlay on the headstock. In keeping with the theme an iridescent  moon over an island hut was also meticulously inlaid in to the fingerboard – a beautiful touch. The inlay is comprised of dyed woods, acrylics, reconstructed stone, mussel shell and scrimshawed “eco-ivory”. Bone was used for the nut and saddle and the instrument was set up with Peghed geared tuners for quick and precise tuning. Glossy Nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

This instrument is an absolute treasure. Rich and wonderful tones with excellent sustain, clarity, and projection. The instrument is in overall wonderful original condition with minor play wear and a light impression on the back of the neck toward the heel that is purely cosmetic. Excellent tone and balance all the way up the neck with spot on intonation as well. Highly recommended player piece but also a remarkable piece of functional art. This is as good as it gets for recording artists, weekend giggers, and the uke-lover at heart! ID#200051
