Chuck handcrafts some of not only the most aesthetically pleasing ukuleles available on the market but also professional recording level instruments for both the professional musician and recreational player.
This wonderful slotted headstock tenor ukulele is crafted from a gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood top, back, and sides, macassar ebony fretboard, bridge, top and back binding with a stylish matching end graph and heel cap. The neck is carved from Spanish cedar wood and is carbon fiber reinforced for added stability. The top, back, and headstock have an elegant white purfling for classic appeal. This beautiful piece also boasts a classy abalone shell rosette.
The theme inlay for the piece is of a palm tree meticulously handcrafted from abalone shell and curly Hawaiian Koa wood. There are matching abalone shell fretboard position markers on positions 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15. Bone nut and saddle. Mohawk lacquer high gloss finish.
Rich and complex tones with excellent sustain, clarity, and projection. The instrument is very well balanced tonally all the way up the neck and spot on intonation as well. Highly recommended player piece. And this is as good as it gets for recording artists, weekend giggers, and the uke-lover at heart!
