Preowned. Custom Martin Tenor Ukulele handcrafted in the custom shop at one of the USA’s most iconic instrument makers, C.F. Martin & Co. in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Beautiful Martin Tenor Ukulele handcrafted of sinker Mahogany wood top, back, and sides. Sinker mahogany are mahogany trees that were harvested and sent downriver to processing mills but sank at some point along the way. They are extremely difficult to recover and are often buried under silt that has accumulated over the years. Nonetheless, these logs are highly sought after by luthiers for their structural and tonal characteristics, having been subjected to low oxygen levels at extreme cold temperatures at the bottom of the river floor. It is very stiff and lightweight, making it ideal for soundboards and uniquely distinct in its structural properties when compared to a typical mahogany.

The instrument also boasts a solid mahogany wood neck and bride with a musician’s grade Gabon ebony wood fretboard and maple wood top and back binding. Classic Style 3 appointments with the kite inlay on the headstock, doubled position markers and center fretboard purfling, bowtie inlay on position 7, and the whale tail inlay at the butt of the instrument.

A wonderful warm and full sound with great projection and a classic Martin mahogany sound. Perfect for the recreational player or musician alike. #230098
