Lyon & Healy Ukulele (3K Soprano Model)

Beautiful and rare not to mention superb in craftsmanship, and possibly rarer and arguably as good or better playing/sounding than a vintage Martin 3K!!

This amazing richly grained Koa wood Lyon & Healy fancy Style 3 koa ukulele is in wonderful original with intricate purfling binding around the body, abalone inlaid sound hole and fingerboard markers which are flawless and fully intact.  The headstock bears a truly unique wood inlay “T” band on the back as well as the signature “V” neck profile. The rosewood fingerboard is straight as an arrow and the frets show no evident signs of play or wear. The finish throughout is completely original.  The signature “wing” bridge is intact with no repairs and all 4 original string pegs. All 4 original Grover type tuning keys are perfectly operational. I could go on but the pictures clearly illustrate how wonderful this rare Ukulele is!

The metal label on the headstock that should read “Washburn, Lyon & Healy, Chicago,U.S.A” – has been removed but the two small holes that would have held the metal label are still there and do not impact the sound of the instrument.

素晴らしく作り上げられているなかなか手に入れられないビンテージの Lyon & Healyのソプラノです。マーチンの３Mの様に珍しく、音に関してはマーチンの３Mよ りもいいかもしれません。ボディーはコアで細かいパーファリングのバインディングが施されています。サウンドホールにはアバロンのインレイが入っており フィンガーボードマーカーも全く欠陥がありません。ヘッドストックにもユニークなウッドのインレイが施されており裏には“T”バンド、ネックは Lyon & Healy独特の”V”の型になっています。フィンガーボードはローズウッドで全く弾いた跡がありません。すべてオリジナルのままの状態です。 Lyon & Healy独特の翼の型のブリッジも修理の跡などなくペグもすべてオリジナルの状態のままです。Grover式のチューナーもしっかり機能してます。いろいろと説明できますが写真を見てお分かりの通り本当に珍しく素晴らしいウクレレです。ヘッドストックに以前あった金属製のラベルには”Washburn, Lyon & Healy, Chicago,U.S.A”と書かれてありましたがこのラベルは取り外されており二つの小さな穴が残っています。この穴はウクレレの音に影響を及ぼす物ではありません.
