Custom Lymana Tenor Ukulele

2002. Preowned. Rare and beautiful Lymana 4-String Tenor Ukulele handcrafted in the traditional shape by luthier Lyman Ashikawa of  Honolulu, HI. Lyman handcrafts some of not only the most aesthetically pleasing ukuleles available on the market but also professional recording level instruments for both the professional musician and recreational player. Mr. Kazuyuki Sekiguchi of Southern All-Stars (Japan) and legendary ukulele player Bill Tapia (Hawaii) are amongst the elite group of musicians who have throughly enjoyed the sound and playability of Lymana Ukuleles.

This beautiful custom Lymana tenor ukulele boasts a master grade Western Cedar soundboard and a beautiful set of Mahogany wood on the back and sides of the instrument, giving the instrument tremendous warmth across the two woods. Faux tortoise shell top and back binding. The neck has been carved from Honduran mahogany wood and includes a graphite truss rod for added structural integrity and sustain. Gaboon Ebony wood fingerboard and bridge with a matching Ebony wood head plate and the iconic ‘L’ Lymana logo in mother-of-pearl. Classic headstock design with Silver Gotoh tuners and black buttons for smooth and precise tuning. Zip style center seam inlay on the back with top, side, and back purfling lines and matching rosette. High gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

The Mahogany wood back and sides, combined with the Western Cedar top, give this instrument exceptional warmth. Wonderful note separation and great clarity, the tones are absolutely wonderful on this piece ~ very rich and pronounced all the way up the neck with excellent clarity, wonderful sustain and excellent projection as well.
