Beautiful Hawaiian Koa wood face, back and sides, this set of Hawaiian Koa is more straight grained with less figure but bears some wonderful natural colors, highlighting several variations of brown with hints of vertical streaking in the wood and traces of greens, reds, and several hues of browns which attest to the unique personality of the instrument. An elegant curly Hawaiian Mango wood binding on the face and back, matching end-graft, bound fretboard and bound headstock provide a subtle but classy contrast to the overall theme of the instrument. Elegant ‘Plumeria’ flower side sound port for monitor-like experience. Gorgeous curly Hawaiian Mango wood sandwiched between two meticulously inlaid ‘paua’ abalone shell double rosettes. Matching fretboard abalone shell purfling and headstock abalone shell inlay add to the beauty of this rare custom ukulele and a subtle contrast to the natural colors of the Koa wood grain. Accent wood purfling lines on top and sides for added aesthetic appeal. Radiused Macassar ebony fingerboard for ease of play with compensated bone nut and saddle. Abalone shell position markers have been inlaid on the side of the bound fretboard for a top down perspective.
