2022. Special Order Kamaka ‘Cedar & Walnut’ Tenor Ukulele handcrafted by the world famous Kamaka Ukulele Co. This ukulele is 1 of only 6 instruments made by Kamaka with this wood combination and likely the sole example with shell inlay. Kamaka Ukuleles are amongst the most respected and sought after ukuleles and have a sound that is uniquely “Hawaiian” all to their own.

This beautiful Kamaka Deluxe ‘Cedar & Walnut’ tenor ukulele boasts a gorgeous Claro Walnut wood back & sides with a musicians grade Cedar wood soundboard. 14-fret joint to the body with 18 overall frets to the soundhole. Elegant top and side wood purfling lines, musicians grade Gabon Ebony wood fingerboard and bridge, and matching Gabon Ebony wood headstock plate with a mother-of-pearl ‘KK’ outline at the headstock. The outlined ‘KK’ headstock design is quite unique for Kamaka and has shown up occasionally on a few instruments that have belonged to Kamaka musicians over the years. Mother-of-pearl fretboard markers on positions 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 for quick reference. Top and back ebony wood binding with paua abalone shell top purfling and matching abalone shell rosette make for an elegant feel and a solid Honduras mahogany wood neck adds stability and sustain to this handsomely handcrafted tenor ukulele. Schaller professional geared tuners for precise tuning. High gloss finish.

This beautiful ukulele has a fantastic and warm tone. Like koa, walnut’s density and stiffness yield bright treble notes, but with a more present midrange. It lands somewhere between a rosewood and mahogany and is an excellent combination for those who enjoy both finger style and strumming. A wonderful and rare combination of woods by Kamaka with a lovely sound. #230013
