This piece is an exceptional example of a deluxe model made by the Kamaka company and having gorgeous figured Hawaiian Koa wood. A wonderful representation of the Kamaka legacy which began over a 100 years ago in 1916.
This beautiful Kamaka ukulele boasts a gorgeous set of Hawaiian Koa wood on the face, back, and sides. 12-fret joint to the body with 16 overall frets to the soundhole. Jet black musicians grade Gabon Ebony wood fingerboard, bridge and a matching curly Hawaiian Koa wood headstock plate in keeping with the elegant theme of the instrument. Gorgeous Rosewood top binding and a subtle top and side purfling line. Mother-of-pearl headstock ‘KK’ logo and position markers on 5, 7, 10, and 12. Solid Honduran mahogany wood neck for added stability and Gotoh professional geared tuners for smooth and precise tuning. A clear pick guard has also been installed by the previous owner on the upper bout of the instrument. Nitrocellulose gloss finish.
Tonally, this is a classic Kamaka sound with a nice round and balanced sound with wonderful clarity, and projection. A highly recommended players ukulele from Hawaii’s most famous ukulele maker, Kamaka ukuleles. ID#210077.
