This beautiful Hive tenor ukulele is a ‘Hornet’ model by designation and was meticulously handcrafted with the utmost attention to detail and tone. A 12 fret joint to the body, the instrument was handcrafted of a gorgeous set of Asian Blackwood back and sides and an Adirondack spruce soundboard – giving the instrument a bold, clear tone. This Hive ukulele also boasts a gorgeous jet black Gabon ebony wood fingerboard, bridge, and headstock plate with a stunningly beautiful contrasted flamed maple wood neck. Matching Asian Blackwood top and back binding with a Black-and-white ebony wood rosette inlay meticulously done. Tube aluminum inlay markers on fretboard and side of neck on 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, and 17 for quick reference. Radiused fretboard for a comfortable feel with bar chords and a side sound port for a monitor like effect by which the sound fires outward to the audience but also upward towards the musician. Elegant top, back, and side purfling lines for aesthetic appeal. Professional Waverly tuners for precise and smooth tuning. End pin for strap.
