Custom Heritage Baritone Ukulele

Preowned. Custom Heritage Baritone Ukulele handcrafted by Jesse Mendes on Maui, Hawaii. Jesse has been a woodworker since he turned fifteen. His love of woodworking stems from an interest in working with the many species of wood found on the islands; specifically, Hawaiian Koa, mango, milo, and kamani, and has been  handcrafting ukuleles for over a decade.

This beautiful custom Heritage baritone ukulele is handcrafted with a Hawaiian Milo soundboard and Mango wood back and sides. It has a Honduras mahogany wood neck for added stability and a Hawaiian Milo fingerboard with a matching Milo wood bridge. The fretboard is bound in Hawaiian Kolohala wood, or pheasant wood, and features Paua abalone shell inlay on the soundboard, as well as a subtle yet elegant nouveau style redwood rosette. Additionally, it includes a side sound port for a monitor-like experience, projecting sound upward towards the player’s ear and outward to the audience. Offset position markers on 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 for quick reference. Beautiful ‘H’ logo inlay of paua shell on the headstock. Satin style finish for a smooth-to-the-touch feel.

A lovelycustom baritone ukulele, this instrument has a slightly thinner body profile, making it easy to cradle when playing. The combination of Hawaiian Milo and mango wood also gives this instrument a warm and smooth sound with nice projection and a quick response. #240065
