Circa 2014. Custom Steve Grimes “Beamer Model” Guitar. Hawaiian Koa wood back and sides with German Spruce soundboard. Ebony wood fretboard with Brazilian Rosewood bride and headstock veneer. Dual upper bout sound ports with Hawaiian Koa wood rosettes and black-white-purple-white-black purfling lines on the inside and outside of each of the Hawaiian Koa rosettes. Matching black-white-purple-white-black top and back wood purfling lines with a simple black-white-black purfling lines on the side of the instrument. Curly Maple wood top and back binding with matching Maple wood bound headstock and wood purfling lines. This guitar has a huge sound that can be tuned in standard tuning or Hawaiian Slack Key tuning with a sound that is both clear and big with wonderful clarity and a tremendous amount of sustain. This instrument cuts through even when playing in ensemble with a large band. ID#210047
