Custom Graziano Bartitone Ukulele

New. Beautiful and meticulously made Custom Graziano ‘Selmer-Style’ Baritone Ukulele handcrafted in Santa Cruz, CA by legendary luthier Tony Graziano . Tony has been building musical instruments since 1969 and ukuleles, specifically, since 1978. He has since transitioned away from guitars to primarily focus on his passion for handcrafted ukuleles since 1995 almost exclusively. His instruments are world renowned and they are loved by musicians and recreational ukulele players throughout the world, but especially those here in the USA and Japan.

This gorgeous custom Graziano baritone ukulele was handcrafted of a beautiful set of Hawaiian Koa wood back and sides with a Port Orford Cedar soundboard. Port Orford Cedar is known for its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio and continues to be used for boat-building as well as decking, railing, and interior paneling in addition to being a superior tonewood for guitars and ukuleles.  It grows nowhere in the western hemisphere except in the comparatively small area along the coast of southern Oregon and extreme northern California, forming a strip about 200 miles long and rarely extending more than 40 miles inland. Insstrument-grade Mahogany wood neck with carbon fiber truss rod for add stability and transference of the vibrations back into the body of the instrument, Gabon ebony wood fretboard with rosewood bridge and a matching ebony headstock plate in keeping with the theme of this simple but elegant ukulele. This Graziano baritone also boasts a black celluloid top binding and a b-w-b top purfling line and a beautiful multi-layered rosette for aesthetic appeal. Slotted headstock design with professional Gotoh Stealth geared tuners for smooth and precise tuning. Mother-of-pearl shell ‘Graziano’ inlay on the headstock and side-of-neck position markers for quick reference. High gloss lacquer finish.

A wonderful ukulele with great clarity, projection, and sustain and that classic traditional Hawaiian Koa wood bark. The Port Orford Cedar also adds a projection that is often uncommon for a baritone, giving this instrument a lovely mellow and full-bodied sound with a strong presence. Perfect for playing in ensemble with others or as a soloist. A fantastic custom ukulele by a highly respected ukulele luthier, Tony Graziano. ID#240556
