Custom William King Ukulele

キング・ウクレレ (カスタム・テナー)

A beautiful Custom William King Tenor Ukulele handcrafted in Austin, TX by master luthier William King. This custom tenor ukulele is a special commission with a fourteen fret joint to the body and was meticulously crafted from the finest building materials by one of the USA’s finest luthiers.

Extremely rare master grade spider-webbed Brazilian rosewood back and sides, legendary tone wood – Adirondack spruce soundboard, Spanish cedar neck, a radiused and bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, a Brazilian rosewood top and back binding, Brazilian rosewood end graph and Brazilian rosewood bridge with ebony wood pins, bound Brazilian rosewood faceplate with classic paua abalone crown inlay on headstock, elegant purple top and side purfling for subtle appeal (on entire uke), and paua abalone rosette and fingerboard markers. The uke is fitted with professional classical guitar Gilbert tuners with ebony button for precise tuning and finished in a gloss lacquer finish and strung with Savarez strings.

The neck is fast, smooth, and very comfortable as you progress up towards the body. The set-up is also perfect and the uke is very easy to play and has exceptional projection, volume, and sustain. The tones are bright, crisp, and resonant all the way up the neck. The sweetness and sustain compliment the clarity and articulation and provide a nice fluidity to phrasing of note and chord progressions. Very rich, chocolately, and complex deep tones as well, classic Brazilian rosewood. There is also very good structural center-balance on the instrument as well. This uke would be great for both fingerpicking and strumming. Perfect for recording. Highly recommended.
