This custom Ko`olau tenor ukulele is a 100SP model by designation with a number of added amenities that really lends itself to being both aesthetically pleasing and a wonderful playing full custom ukulele handcrafted in Hawaii. The body is handcrafted with gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood face, back, and sides and the Koa wood was upgraded to a 4A grade of premium curly Koa, a substantially higher grade than what is typically used for this model. Hawaiian Koa wood is amongst the most prized woods in the world and is used by luthiers worldwide for it’s aesthetic appeal and tonal qualities. Instrument grade Macassar ebony wood fretboard and bridge with a slight radius on fretboard for ease of play at the wrist angle for added comfort, especially in the higher positions on the fingerboard. Top binding with a gorgeous abalone ‘paua’ shell rosette and top purfling lines. Slotted headstock with a Honduras mahogany wood neck for added stability. Macassary ebony wood headstock veneer and professional Gotoh slotted-headstock geared tuners for precise tuning.  The instrument also boasts a stylish mother-of-pearl inlay for the Ko`olau logo on the headstock. Mirror-like high gloss finish on body with satin style finish on the neck allows for the player’s hands to move freely up and down the neck without concern of ‘sticking’ as you play.

Tonally, this beautiful Custom Ko’olau 100SP Tenor Ukulele is a wonderful playing instrument with excellent clarity and sustain with a wide breath of tones. A traditional tone that rings true “Hawaii” with every strum and a custom ukulele that is rarely available.
