Classic vintage 1950s Sam Chang tenor ukulele in refinished condition. Sam Chang ukuleles are amongst the great player ukuleles of the yesteryear and his tenor pieces are exceptionally difficult to locate. In fact, this is the first one I’ve ever seen!
Handcrafted of Hawaiian Koa face, back, sides, fretboard and neck this one is definitely built in the traditional way (all Koa) with top and back white celluloid binding and more. There are two repairs have been made to the instrument. One below the bride extending toward the butt of the instrument and another on the back. They are both stable and do not impact the structural integrity of the instrument.
Great player piece and a very rare one at that. Now is your chance to own a piece of Hawaii’s history from the son of the inventor of the ukulele, Sam Chang.
