Beautiful Les Rietfors Tenor Ukulele in wonderful original condition. This piece is tremendously rare and a wonderful collector`s and player’s piece.
Premium Hawaiian Koa face, back, & sides with ebony wood fretboard and bridge. Beautiful faux tortoise shell top binding with black-white purfling on soundboard. Hawaiian flag wood inlay on headstock. Honduran mahogany neck and Grover closed-geared machine tuners for precision tuning. Gorgeous abalone ‘paua’ shell inlay on the soundboard and headstock with a matching shell rosette.
This is a definite keeper for both the collector and the true player. Les Rietfors’ ukuleles are amongst the most desired custom ukuleles to have been made and tremendously difficult to locate. Unfortunately, Les Rietfors has since passed away in 2005 but his love of music, the Hawaiian culture and people, and the art of fine luthiery lives on through his legacy of beautifully handcrafted instruments.
