Built in in 2004 of the finest woods and materials this beautiful custom Leilani comes with Hawaiian koa wood face, back, and sides, honduran mahogany neck with maple wood laminate for added strength and stability, an ebony wood fretboard, rosewood bridge, white celluloid top binding, paua shell purfling on soundboard with matching paua shell “arrowhead” shaped rosette and soundhole. High gloss finish and pickup installed for quick plug-n-play access.
Excellent players uke with well balanced tones. Previously owned by Herb Ohta Jr., this beautiful Leilani remains in remarkable original condition. No cracks. No repairs. No needed repairs. There is some light discoloration of the white celluloid top binding due to aging. Minimal fretboard wear. The instrument has also been buffed to clean up any small strum marks. Very warm tones with nice crisp highs and mid-range tones with excellent lows as well. Leilani ukuleles are amongst the best custom pieces available and their craftsmanship and sound is a testimony to the Leilani ukulele reputation.
