Custom Ko’olau Tenor Ukulele

Custom ukuleles by Ko’olau Ukulele Company. Absolutely stunning Custom Ko`olau Tenor Ukulele (Model T400) handcrafted here on the island of Oahu by one of Hawaii’s foremost luthiers, John Kitakis and his son Noa Bonk.

This beautiful Custom T400 comes complete with tiger maple wood back and sides with Koa stripe center-inlay and a solid spruce top with Koa rosette inlay. Faux tortoise shell top binding for a simple but elegant look and an ebony fretboard & bridge. The saddle and nut are handcrafted from bone and the neck out of honduras mahogany for added strength.  Pearlescent fret markers and “Ko’olau” logo inlaid on Koa faceplate. Grover tuners for smooth and reliable operation (custom two-tone black / polished brass). Black w/ Abalone bridge pins, stainless steel strap nuts, and an EMF two-way active pick up (saddle pick up AND internal mic for clean / natural sound)

This instrument was previously owned by a local musician who gigged regularly here in Hawaii. Excellent string set up and playability. Custom Ko’olau Ukulele – Clean highs and nice balanced mid-range and low tones as well. No cracks. No repairs. No needed repairs. Some playwear on soundboard and fretboard.
