This custom Ko`olau concert ukulele is a model 300 by designation with all the bells and whistles added that really lends itself to being both aesthetically pleasing and a wonderful player ukulele.
The body is handcrafted with gorgeous Hawaiian curly Koa back and sides with master grade cedar wood top. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from rosewood for optimal tone. There is also a matching Koa wood headstock plate and faux tortoise shell binding on top and back for aesthetic appeal. Rope marquetry purfling on top of the soundboard and matching center seam rope marquetry strip on back. The instrument also boasts a paua shell rosette and classic mother-of-pearl inlay for the position markers and Koʻolau logo on the headstock. Gloss finish
Wonderful tone and sustain that is clear, crisp, and well projected. Nice deep rich low tones and well balanced mid-range and high tones as well. Excellent projection, sustain, and clarity all the way up the neck.
A traditional tone that rings true “Hawaii” with every strum and a custom piece that is rarely available. Includes Ko`olau concert ukulele hard case. MSRP on the ‘Premium Series’ which has since replaced the Model 300.
