Custom ukuleles by KP Ukulele for sale. Handcrafted on the island of Maui, Hawaii – Ken Potts handcrafts custom ukuleles under the label KP Ukuleles.

KP Ukuleles are especially made for their clientele but this model is a special model in which only 1 ukulele a year for the Kahana Canoe Club is made and sold as a fundraiser for the club. This is the first ukulele and only one has been made, “No. 1 of 1”. The next custom will be made in 2008 for the next Kahana Canoe Club fundraiser. The colors of the striping are the Kahana Canoe Club colors (green, black, and white).

About Kahana Canoe Club

“Kahana Canoe Club was founded by the Naleieha Family in 1976 on the west side of Maui in Hawaii. Their hope was that families might pull together in the face of modern development, social upheaval, and possible displacement by fostering an outigger canoe club that would provide an activity for all family members. The club’s mission is also to perpetuate the culture and “ohana” (family) that the Hawaiian were so familiar with in the “old days”. This family atmosphere is what has drawn paddlers to Kahana Canoe Club for all these years. Now, membership exceeds 200 paddlers in Maui, Hawaii.”
