Custom G-String Concert Ukulele

Circa 2012. New old stock. Never preowned. An extremely rare full Custom G-String Concert Ukulele that was handcrafted in Hilo, HI by Derek Shimizu of G-String Ukulele Co. at the time of its construction.

This gorgeous Custom G-String Concert Ukulele was handcrafted of rare Hawaiian curly Koa wood face, back, and sides. Solid Honduran Mahogany wood neck for added stability and increased sustain, Rosewood fretboard and bridge with a gorgeous faux tortoise shell top and back binding for an elegant appeal and Koa wood headstock veneer in keeping with the theme of the instrument. The instrument also boasts a stunningly beautiful abalone shell top purfling and double Koa wood and matching abalone shell rosette with accent purling lines throughout the soundboard and rosette of this amazing piece. The instrument uses professional open-geared Gotoh machine tuners for precise tuning and has a pore less high gloss finish.

Excellent playability and wonderful clarity and sustain. I highly recommend G-String Ukuleles, they are wonderful instruments and are absolutely amazing but the ‘Signature Series’ is truly a benchmark piece on the landscape of premium ukuleles! ID#:180116
