Custom Compass Rose Tenor Ukulele

Preowned. Beautiful Compass Rose Tenor Ukulele handcrafted by luthier Rick Turner of Rick Turner Guitars and Ukuleles in Santa Cruz, California. Compass Rose ukuleles exhibit the philosophy of wonderful tone and playability at an affordable price for all to enjoy.

This beautiful Compass Rose tenor ukulele is a ‘Howe-Orme’ model by designation with a 12 fret joint to the body and 17 overall frets to the sound hole. It was meticulously handcrafted with the utmost attention to detail. The face, back, and sides were handcrafted of a set of beautiful Maple wood. This Compass Rose ukulele also boasts a gorgeous Cocobolo wood fingerboard and bridge with a cantilevered neck – allowing less restriction to the soundboard and, ultimately, optimum ‘excitement’ as the vibrations from the strings transfer into the bridge and onto soundboard of the instrument. Matching Maple wood neck with side position markers on 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 for a top-down reference. Jet black Ebony wood top and back binding with a classic Compass Rose rosette. A top rope marquetry purfling adds to the appeal of the instrument. Stunningly beautiful sunburst gives the ukulele a subtle but elegant feel with a satin style finish on the neck and body of the instrument. Geared tuners for precise and smooth tuning. End pin for strap. Serial number 0602 imprinted in the depth (thickness) of top of the headstock when looking down from the headstock towards the body of the ukulele.

Wonderful full sound with excellent sustain and balance. A excellent example of a handcrafted ukulele that exhibits a great balance between playability and tone and at a price point that is not often seen for a full custom ukulele. ID#: 180232.
