Stunning and rare early 1990’s Kamaka Tenor Ukulele in refinished condition. Great player ukulele and constructed of all Koa wood. Beautiful Hawaiian Koa face, back, and sides with all koa neck, fretboard, and bridge. Tonal quality on this beauty is incredible. Great sustain with nice lows and crisp highs.
The white label era is considered one of the best player instrument generations for Kamaka and is especially prized by musicians worldwide. Also, the dimensions used to make these early model white label ukes seem to vary from what is currently being used at Kamaka which may attribute to the wonderful tone of these white label era pieces.
I’ve got to say that this is a definite ‘player’s uke’. It has wonderful projection, great sustain, and the classic ‘all koa’ tone we have all grown to love from Kamaka ukuleles. If you’re looking for a great playing uke without all the amenities of shell inlay and a high gloss finish, this is a great pick!
