Rare 1980s Kamaka Ohta-san concert ukulele. All Hawaiian Koa wood construction: face, back, sides, fretboard and bridge. Rosewood top binding, white label era with a 14-fret joint to the neck. Plays incredibly well with great projection. Intonation is set perfectly and string action is also set up well. The uke is in all original condition. Includes original hard case with yellow plush lining.
Kamaka Ohta-san ukuleles are currently not being made due to a backorder of custom Jake model ukuleles. The Ohta-san ukes are tremendously rare in the current market and an absolute wonderful collector and player’s piece. The accented lower bout and raised waistline add to embellished low notes. Deep warm lows, bright mid-range and highs, and exceptional sustain as well. A great player piece in all original condition and perfect for both the player and collector.
