1966 Custom Kamaka Guitar – Brazilian Rosewood & Cedar

Custom Kamaka Guitar. Extremely stunning and rare 1966 Custom Kamaka ‘Classical’ Guitar handcrafted by master luthier Sam Kamaka of Kamaka Ukulele & Guitars. This beautiful guitar was a special commission undertaken by the Kamaka custom shop in the late sixties and remains in gorgeous refinished condition.

Master grade Brazilian Rosewood wood back and sides with tight grain cedar wood soundboard for added clarity and depth and a full range response. Solid Honduran Mahogany wood neck and Brazilian Rosewood top and back binding, ebony wood fingerboard and a matching Brazilian Rosewood  headstock cap and bridge for aesthetic appeal. Intricate classical guitar rosette fashioned in traditional style with a top, back, and side maple purfling line for a subtle but elegant appeal.

A phenomenal tonal instrument with incredible projection and wonderful sustain! All the depth and warmth expected of a Brazilian Rosewood instrument. Tremendous clarity and very well balanced notes all the way up the neck.  Very refined and rich ‘chocolatey’ tones with remarkable deep and sustained low notes and crisp clarity on the mid-rage and high notes. A true gem and a very rare custom guitar from the world’s most recognized ukulele maker, Kamaka Ukuleles & Guitars.
