1940s Kamaka Pineapple Ukulele – ‘Special Refurbish’

This stunning example is handcrafted in the 1940s and complete with some wonderful upgrades, including an authentic signature by Samuel Kamaka himself! The neck and sides of this gorgeous Kamaka are period specific to the 1940s; top and back have been replaced with master grade Hawaiian Koa wood, upgrade to ebony bridge, upgrade paua shell rosette with classy ‘blue’ stained maple wood. This new ‘blue’ maple is the same stained maple that was used on Jake’s new custom tenor. Yes, that’s right! Jake has a new slotted headstock tenor with some amazing shell inlay and this time around – blue maple wood purfling! Matching paua shell position markers for quick reference and 4:1 gear ratio professional tuners for precise and quick tuning. This beautiful uke was also signed by Samuel Kamaka as a special tribute to the yesteryears of Kamaka’s history, family, and contribution to the people and community of Hawaii.

If you’re looking for a nice vintage sound less the concerns of old wood glue separation, this is it! Very rich and full tones with excellent clarity and sustain. All work for this gorgeous restoration was fully done by the Kamaka factory.
