Beautiful custom tenor ukulele by Kyle Iwamoto of Oahu. This piece was on exhibit at the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii Exhibition in 2010. Premium spruce top with mango wood sides and back. Rosewood fretboard and ‘whale tail’ bridge with faux tortoise shell celluloid binding on face. Beautiful ‘Humpback whale’ wood inlay on soundboard done in multiple woods. Honduran mahogany neck, matching mango wood headstock cap done and professional Gotoh machine geared tuners. Upper bout side port for ‘monitor-like’ experience with sound firing upwards toward the ear. Cutaway feature for quick and easy reach high up on the neck. Classic oil finish.
Bright and balanced tones. Nice projection and sustain. A great buy for a handcrafted uke out of Hawaii.
