A beautiful new Custom Pahu Kani “8-String” Longneck Tenor Ukulele handcrafted on the Waianae coastline by one of Oahu’s finest luthiers in custom ukuleles, Manny Halican of the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii (UGH). Manny incorporates a wonderful example of a fully unique and contemporary design with great playability and a fantastic tone.

This unique custom Pahu Kani “8-String” longneck tenor ukulele was handcrafted with meticulous care and exemplifies the beautiful pairing of a curly Hawaiian Koa wood on the soundboard with European Olive wood on the back and sides. The instrument boasts a soundhole-less top, maximizing the vibrations across the soundboard with a single back-port and two side sound ports, one on each side of the upper bout adjacent to the neck, giving the instrument a wrap-around sound and attesting to the skills and creativity of Manny’s unique and functional design. Tinted curly Maple wood neck in keeping with the darker theme of woods on the instrument and a center wood stringer on the neck providing added stiffness while driving the vibrations back into the sound box. Macassar ebony wood fretboard and bridge. Corian top and back binding with a matching headstock veneer. Ebony wood bound fretboard. Single back and dual exaggerated side sound ports on both sides of the upper bout of the instrument allowing for maximum excitement on the soundboard with no traditional top porting. This enables the player to receive the full benefit of hearing all that this instrument offers tonally with the sound firing with a wrap-around feel for a monitor-like experience. Slotted headstock with professional geared tuners. ‘PK’ logo inlay on the headstock and an extended 18-inch scale from the zero fret to the saddle of the instrument. High-gloss finish.
