Custom ukuleles by Island Traditions Ukuleles. Beautiful Island Traditions tenor ukulele. This piece was on exhibit at the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii 2007 and the only piece entered by Robin Gleason. Robin is the son of famed ukulele builder Bob Gleason of Pegasus Ukuleles and Robin’s pieces are indeed wonderfully crafted and with great tone too! Curly Koa face, back and sides with Honduras Mahogany neck and shell inlay on soundboard and around soundhole, bridge, and heel block cap. Rosewood fretboard and bridge with classic inlay of Mauna Kea on headstock and fretboard. Pheasant wood binding on top and bottom and ‘Hawaiian Island & Hula Girl’ inlay on soundboard for classic appeal. Excellent player ukulele: deep lows, nice highs and excellent sustain.
