Chuck handcrafts some of not only the most aesthetically pleasing ukuleles available on the market but also professional recording level instruments for both the professional musician and recreational player.
This wonderful and extremely rare Moore Bettah ‘Palm Tree’ Tenor ukulele was crafted from the finest materials. Gorgeous master grade Macassar wood back and sides with a Sitka Spruce soundboard. Gabon Ebony wood fretboard and bridge with a curly Hawaiian Koa wood fretboard and top and back binding.. The neck was hand-carved from Spanish Cedar wood and is carbon fiber reinforced for added stability. Side sound port for monitor-like experience with the sound firing forward toward the audience as well as upward toward the player, allowing the player to hear the subtle nuances of each note clearly. The side and back of the body boasts an elegant black-white-black purfling line with the soundboard boasting a black-burl-black purfling which matches the dyed Maple wood burl rosette and headstock design. Gorgeous artistic headstock inlay of a ‘Hawaiian Palm Tree’ handcrafted of dyed Maple wood burl and Hawaiian Koa wood in keeping with the theme of the instrument. 14 fret joint to the body for added reach high up on the neck and 19 overall frets to the sound hole. Beautiful high gloss nitrocellulose finish.
A big and bold sound with a full range and great clarity, projection, and excellent sustain as well. The instrument is very well balanced tonally all the way up the neck and spot on intonation as well. Highly recommended player piece. And this is as good as it gets for recording artists, weekend giggers, and the uke-lover at heart! ID#220032
