Circa 2013. Preowned. A beautiful and rare Custom Vento Tenor Ukulele handcrafted on the island of Hawai’i by Fred Vento of Vento Music. This is a wonderfully handcrafted players model with a focus on sound and a simple but elegant feel. It possesses all the functionality of a higher end build with functional features such as a radiused and bound fretboard and a pick up less the added cost of amenities such as shell inlay, body purfling and binding, decorative theme inlay work, and a slotted headstock – making this the perfect ukulele for someone looking for a full custom ukulele with great playability and sound at a budget friendly pricepoint for a Hawaii-made custom.

This Custom Vento Tenor Ukulele has its face, back, and sides handcrafted of a beautiful set of curly Hawaiian Koa wood, handpicked on the Island of Hawai’i. The neck has been carved from solid Honduran mahogany wood for added stability and increased sustain on the instrument. The fretboard was radiused giving the player more comfort when holding bar chords and playing higher up on the neck. It was crafted of a musicians set of Macassar Ebony wood and bound with Hawaiian Koa for ease of play and a smooth though as you slide your hands up and down the neck. Macassar Ebony wood bridge and curly Hawaiian Koa wood headstock plate. Classic tie-bridge construction. Beautiful ‘Vento’ Rosewood logo inlay on the headstock with Hawaiian Koa wood position markers on 5, 7, 10, and 12 in keeping with the theme of the instrument. A simple and elegant look with the red and brown hues of the Hawaiian Koa wood. Open-geared Grover tuners and a 14:1 gear ratio for precise tuning. Bone nut and saddle and a high gloss poreless nitrocellulose finish. Passive pick up for quick plug and play.
