A beautiful new Custom Koa Works Tenor Ukulele handcrafted on the Big island of Hawai’i by one of best luthiers in custom ukuleles and guitars out of the Aloha State, Rich Godfrey. This one was just completed and is absolutely stunning in appearance but plays even better than it looks!

Handcrafted of quarter-sawn gorgeous and rare set of beautiful Hawaiian Milo wood on the back and sides with a world renowned tonewood, Adirondack Spruce, soundboard – a truly magnificent wood combination, this ukulele is both beautiful and a great sounding instrument. The Adirondack Spruce soundboard gives this instrument great ‘attack’ and clarity, complimenting the low end and midrange offered by the Hawaiian Milo wood. A great combination. This beautiful instrument also boasts a “nouveau” style rosette of Hawaiian spalted Mango wood and a musicians grade Macassar ebony wood fretboard and bridge, consistent with the best in recording level instruments. A 16″ radius has also been added on the fretboard as well for added comfort in higher positions on the neck. The top and back uses a curly Hawaiian Koa wood binding and bound fretboard in keeping with the simple but elegant theme of the instrument. Sycamore wood top purfling lines for a subtle aesthetic appeal. The bound fretboard also adds for smooth play up and down the neck. Gorgeous paua shell position markers on positions 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 for quick reference. Abalone or ‘paua’ shell ‘Honu’ inlay on headstock representing the Hawaiian sea turtle. Professional Gotoh machine tuners for precise tuning, Curly Honduran Mahogany wood neck with carbon fiber rod for added stability and sustain, Molokai deer antler nut and saddle, and a high-gloss finish with a truly wonderful sound that rings true ‘Hawaii’.

This beauty really sings and has excellent volume and incredible clarity. Punchy with tremendous power and a great tone. Excellent mid-range and low end with balanced highs. Great for quick chord progressions in both fingerpicking and strumming styles. Absolute stunning piece and a true recording artist piece in every aspect of the build.
