Preowned. Custom ukuleles handcrafted by Ken Potts of Maui, HI. A beautiful preowned Custom KP Tenor Ukulele handcrafted in Lahaina, Maui by master luthier Ken Potts. This custom tenor ukulele has been beautifully handcrafted from the finest building materials by one of the Maui’s hidden ukulele luthiers.
The back and sides of this particular ukulele is handcrafted from East-Indian Rosewood with a tight grain spruce soundboard. This is a wonderful example of a beautifully quarter sawn set of wood, giving for the most structural integrity and tone. Mahogany wood neck for added stability and a Rosewood fretboard, bridge, and top binding with top and side fretboard purfling lines for an elegant appeal. The uke is fitted with professional Grover machine tuners for precise tuning. Zero fret set up at the nut. Cutaway feature for easy reach higher up on the neck.
The neck is a little wider than most, but not by much. If you prefer a slightly wider neck or perhaps come from a guitar background this is a great uke. Very comfortable as you progress up towards the body. The uke is very easy to play and has a bright punchy sound. There was one repair but it’s done very well. You can barely see if from the outside but there is some glue residue that can be seen looking in to the soundhole toward the cutaway and on the back plate of the instrument. It’s totally stable. This uke would be great for both fingerpicking and strumming if you’re looking for that brighter punchy sound. ID:#180236
