Once he returned to Hawaii, he met Noa Bonk of Ko’olau Guitars and Ukuleles – where he learned the art of ukulele luthiery and apprenticed for several years before starting his own company Wiemer Guitars and Ukuleles in 2011.
This beautiful Jeb Wiemer tenor ukulele was handcrafted of Hawaiian curly Koa wood face, back, and sides with a maple wood top and back binding. Macassar ebony wood fretboard and bridge. Rope marquetry top purfling and matching rosette. Side sound port for monitor like experience. Honduras mahogany wood neck with a satin finish on the neck and body of the instrument. Maple wood end graft and heel cap. Gotoh open-geared tuners for precise tuning. Markers inlaid on positions 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 for quick reference. 14 fret joint to the body with 21 overall frets.
