This beautiful Custom Collings concert ukulele is a excellent example of the elegant design and work ethic of the founder of Collings Guitars, the late Mr. Bill Collings.  Extremely light in weight with remarkable tone and resonance, this gorgeous custom Collings concert ukulele bears a handwritten ‘custom’ on its label and was meticulously handcrafted with the utmost care and attention to detail.

The body of the instrument was handcrafted with flamed maple wood back and sides and one of the most prized of the spruces, an Adirondack spruce soundboard. A gorgeous matching flamed maple wood neck was also used in keeping with the theme of the instrument. Coveted Brazilian Rosewood head plate, fingerboard, and bridge, an ebony wood end graft, and a faux tortoise shell top and back binding and abalone shell rosette are a few of the wonderful features to this stunningly beautiful ukulele.

A slight radius on the fingerboard has also been incorporated for added comfort in the wrist angle, especially in the higher position. A sunburst finish has been applied to the instrument that is absolutely stunning! Professional Gotoh Planetary geared tuners for quick and precise tuning. Poreless high gloss finish.

Tonally, this instrument is a joy to play. It has excellent response for both the player who enjoys fingerpicking or strumming. The instrument has excellent balance with a nice mid-range and crisp and clear highs with the punchiness of the maple wood as well. A highly recommend custom ukulele that would be a wonderful addition to any musicians arsenal of amazing recording level instruments.
