Custom G-String Tenor Ukulele
An extremely rare full Custom G-String ‘Custom Shop’ Tenor Ukulele handcrafted on the island of Oahu by the custom shop luthiers of G-String Ukulele Co. The ‘custom shop’ series is regarded as one of the premiere models of G-String Ukuleles with only limited numbers available each year. Each is handcrafted with the utmost attention to detail and tone from the finest woods and luthier materials.
This gorgeous Custom G-String ‘Custom Shop’ Tenor Ukulele was handcrafted of the gorgeous Hawaiian curly Koa wood. Solid Honduran Mahogany wood neck for added stability and increased sustain, Ebony wood fretboard and bridge with a black celluloid top and back binding for an elegant appeal, and an in-line tuner ‘Fender-style’ headstock design attributing to a very unique personality of its own. The instrument also boasts a stunningly beautiful ‘paua’ or abalone shell top purfling with matching abalone shell with double Koa wood rosette, and top soundboard accent lines of this amazing piece. The instrument also has professional Gotoh machine tuners for precise tuning and a pore less high gloss finish that is mirror-like in nature.
The instrument has been cleaned up and buffed but does show some minor play wear along the edges of the fingerboard and has some discoloration in the shell. Excellent playability and wonderful clarity and sustain. The tones are truly wonderful on this instrument. Nice deep lows with well balanced mid-range and crisp highs all the way up the neck. The string action is set very well and makes the instrument a true joy to play. The intonation is perfect as well. I highly recommend G-String Ukuleles, they are wonderful instruments and extremely difficult to come by nowadays.
