Young handcrafted ukuleles with professional musicians in mind and made ukuleles and guitars for some of Hawaii’s most famous and accomplished musicians of yesteryear. Musicians such as Mo Keale and Kahauanu Lake, the leader of the Kahauanu Lake Trio, which compromised of Kahauanu Lake, his brother Tommy Lake, and Al Machida were amongst the legendary Hawaii musicians to enjoyed the wonderful craftsmanship and tones of K.C. Young ukuleles and guitars.
A deep body construction with a classical guitar 12 fret joint to the body, this beautiful and historical ukulele was handcrafted of Hawaiian koa wood back and sides with a spruce soundboard. It also boasts a musicians grade Gaboon ebony wood fretboard and bridge with maple wood stringer on the fingerboard for aesthetic appeal. Gorgeous hand carved slotted headstock with book matched spalted Koa, a solid Hawaiian Koa wood neck, and a wide band Hawaiian Kolohala wood or ‘pheasant wood’ rosette with b-w accent lines are a few of the simple but elegant features offered on this beautiful ukulele.
