Beautiful Custom Lymana Tenor ukulele by Lyman Ashikawa of Oahu, Hawaii. Lyman has been building custom ukuleles here in Hawaii for a number of years and handcrafts some of Hawaii’s finest masterpieces that are both aesthetically appealing and wonderful in tone. Mr. Kazuyuki Sekiguchi of Southern All-Stars (Japan) and legendary ukulele player Bill Tapia (Hawaii) are amongst the elite group of musicians who have throughly enjoyed the sound and playability of Lymana Ukuleles.
Constructed of gorgeous curly Hawaiian Koa back, and sides, and an Engelmann spruce top, this custom piece is set up with a solid ebony fretboard and bridge and a spanish cedar neck with graphite rod insert for added stability and increased sustain. Bloodwood binding on top and back with matching bloodwood fretboard binding for a smooth glide up and down the neck. Nut and saddle are made of bone and a gorgeous paua shell inlay on soundboard and matching paua shell rosette has also been meticulously inlaid. Rare slotted headstock model with large-barrel slotted headstock machine tuners for precise tuning.
A beautiful and rare piece that rings true with wonderful tones, rich and clear, and handcrafted here in Hawaii. The tones on this uke are absolutely breathtaking. Very warm and precise yet complex all the way up the neck. Highly recommended in craftsmanship and tone and amongst the best and rarest to be built in Hawaii.
