Custom Ko’olau Ukulele for sale. Absolutely stunning Custom Ko’olau Tenor Ukulele (Premium Model) handcrafted here on the island of Oahu by one of Hawaii’s foremost luthiers, John Kitakis and his son Noa Bonk.

The body of this custom Ko’olau ukulele is handcrafted with gorgeous master grade Hawaiian curly Koa face, back and sides. The fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony wood with matching ebony headstock plate, bound ebony fingerboard and top and back ebony binding. The instrument boasts a paua shell rosette and paua shell top purfling, a bridge pin set-up, and a classic slotted headstock with professional level – Waverly tuners for precise tuning. (The Waverly tuners alone cost over two hundred fifty dollars).

The Koa wood on this Ko’olau Ukulele is truly three dimensional in nature and has a tone and sustain that is clear, crisp, and well projected. Nice deep rich low tones and well balanced mid-range and high tones as well. Excellent projection, sustain, and clarity all the way up the neck. A traditional tone that rings true “Hawaii” with every strum and a custom piece that is rarely available.
