Makoto Hirano handcrafts only a limited number of instruments and these instruments are rather difficult to come by, even in Japan. This Custom Makolele Concert Pineapple Ukulele comes complete with premium Hawaiian curly koa wood face, back, and sides. In addition, this beauty boasts a body design that is slightly smaller than typical body design for a concert ukulele yet all the projection and sustain expected from a concert ukulele. A truly wonderful and well thought out design. Gorgeous Makolele headstock inlay of blue abalone shell. Position markers inlaid on positions 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 with a 14 fret joint to the body for extended reach. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. Finished with a beautiful high gloss finish.
