1920s Kumalae Soprano Ukulele

Historical Kumalae soprano ukulele from the 1920s. This beautiful piece was handcrafted in traditional manner with Hawaiian Koa wood on the face, back, and sides. Solid Koa wood neck with direct fret inlay into the neck. Rope marquetry rosette and soundboard binding for a classy appeal and wooden friction tuners in keeping with the original theme consistent with the time period of ukuleles handcrafted in Hawaii in the 1920s.

Excellent aged tones that speak to an earlier and simpler time. Wonderful projection and warmth of sound with a small body feel and reduced weight.  An excellent historical example of an early Hawaiian ukulele build.
